This no cost professional development activity for school and district administrators, counselors, and Title IX coordinators will convene experts in the field of educational equity, and culturally responsive teaching practices to share current research on the effects of culturally responsive teaching, strategies to create welcoming school communities, and preventing and countering behaviors that target students based on their race, sex, national origin, disability and sexual orientation. Each organization will share information that schools and districts can use to develop and/or modify school policies and procedures to reflect current laws and best practices that protect each student and improve accountability of district staff.
