Two Day Comprehensive Workshop: Implementing Evidence-based Practices as used in the STAR® Program (Arick, Loos, Falco and Krug, 2004)

***Please note*** A construction project is underway across the street from Southern Oregon ESD’s Medford Office.  There is no parking in front of SOESD’s main entrance on North Grape Street.  Please allow additional time to find parking and have adequate walk time to get to your meeting.


Who:
This workshop is designed for pre-school and elementary school staff intending to implement evidence-based practices using the STAR curriculum with students.
 
What:
Participants will receive training on how to use the following instructional strategies: teaching functional routines, pivotal response training, discrete trial training and the use of positive behavior intervention and supports as used in the STAR Program.

The Oregon Department of Education has made a small amount of funds available to reimburse participating agencies for staff substitute pay or to pay a stipend to staff who are not yet under contract at the time of the workshop. These funds are to provide release time to staff to be involved in ORPATS training (Workshops and/or visits to ORPATS Training Sites). This funding must be approved ahead of time and is on a first come first served basis. Please visit our website to download forms and instructions for submitting.  www.orpats.org
