Preschool Parent Training Workshop

Who:
This workshop is designed for EI/ECSE staff planning to implement training with families.  Workshop will cover a general overview of the evidence-based strategies taught within the parent training curriculum “Teaching Social Communication to Children with Autism” by Brooke Ingersoll and Anna Dvortcsak. The training will also focus on specific strategies and techniques for providing one to one coaching to families.
 
What:
Class will cover direct and indirect strategies to enhance communication and social interactions, with a focus in the afternoon on strategies for coaching families.  Strategies covered will be techniques to improve social engagement, language, social imitation, and play skills, incorporated within daily routines.  Strategies will apply to children with autism, as well as children with communication or social interaction delays.
