Poverty Immersion Institute

Event Details

The Poverty Immersion Institute is a hands-on, two-day poverty training for educators, health, justice and social service professionals, and community members who want to better understand poverty and gain tools for making a difference.

The institute has been revised to allow for smaller groups to participate in a safe, socially distant manner at four sites located throughout Southern Oregon. Dr. Beegle will appear at each site, in rotation, while broadcasting to the other three. This way, all sites will receive one in-person session and three tele-presented sessions.

Seats may be reserved or appointed by districts. Registrants will be put on the wait list if their district seats are already assigned.
Sites
  • Grants Pass High School - Library
  • SOESD Medford Office -Downstairs Conference Room
  • White Mountain Middle School White City - Library
  • Klamath County SD District Office - training room - Klamath Falls
Lunch will be provided. SOESD will support the technology needed.
