Focus and Overview of the Fall, 2020 PLC Math Sessions
• Participants will engage virtually in 1-hour math content or grade level PLCs
• Leaders--TDG staff
• Time frame: Between September and December, 2020
• Instructors: Kathy Pfaendler and Julie Fredericks
In these virtual PLC meetings sessions, teachers will receive support to:
• use district curriculum materials to design and analyze student math tasks for rigor and
cognitive demand
• determine ways to analyze and discuss student math strategies and create equitable student
engagement during remote or hybrid instruction
• celebrate, troubleshoot and brainstorm with other educators also engaged in remote or hybrid
student learning of mathematics
• identify equitable teaching and learning practices embedded, in both implicit and explicit ways,
within the Math Habits and Routines during remote or hybrid instruction
• build on content introduced during spring and summer sessions
