X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:Online Canvas Course     - <br/><br/>In this <strong>five week\, five module\, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom)</strong>\, participants will:<br/><br/><ul><br/><br/>	<li>Identify and distinguish deeper definitions\, understandings\, and information about racism\, biases\, micro-aggressions and use these definitions when responding to scenarios.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Develop an increased understanding of historical\, sociological\, and cultural information to improve students&rsquo\; feeling of belonging.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Provide inclusive teaching strategies and resources that promote and ensure all students receive equitable opportunities in education.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Apply an equity lens to challenging situations and use course content to formulate effective responses in situations involving bullying and bias language.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify and consider how further to engage\, educate\, and empower themselves and others in this lifelong journey of equity.</li><br/><br/></ul><br/><br/>Registration closes at 12 pm on Friday\, September 27th\, 2024. <strong>Everyone who registered in PDNetworks\, and made it into the course\, will receive an email that includes the Canvas enrollment link and instructions for enrolling in the Canvas webPD course from an SOESD administrative assistant the Thursday before the course begins.</strong><br/><br/><strong>Note</strong>: This course qualifies for Southern Oregon University&rsquo\;s School Mental and Behavioral Health micro-credential.
