Objective: To provide district and school attendance teams a professional community of practice to learn about the latest research\, strategies and best practices to build capacity to reduce chronic absenteeism.
Outcome: School leaders will have the opportunity to leverage Attendance Works&rsquo\; tools and research as a platform to strengthen district and school teams to address chronic absenteeism also:
- Learn about national and local strategies and best schoolwide practices \;
- Align resources and integrate efforts across academics\, family engagement and attendance \;
- Understand how to use data effectively to promote positive problem-solving approaches to engage students and families
- Address barriers that impede attendance/participation and inform local and state attendance policy and practice
