X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:Online Canvas Course     - <br/><br/>In this <strong>five week\, five module\, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom)</strong>\, participants will:<br/><br/><ul><br/><br/>	<li>Review of Equity 101 to recognize and understand Oregon Department of Education&rsquo\;s equity lens\, as well as basic equity concepts.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify and distinguish deeper definitions\, understandings\, and information about racism\, biases\, micro aggressions.</li><br/><br/>	<li>&nbsp\;Investigate federal and state requirements in providing equitable educational opportunities to all student groups.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Develop an increased understanding of historical\, sociological\, and cultural information to improve students&rsquo\; feeling of belonging.</li><br/><br/>	<li>Provide inclusive teaching strategies and resources that promote and ensure all students receive equal opportunities in education.</li><br/><br/></ul><br/><br/>The class is limited to 35 participants per cohort. Registration closes at 12 pm on Friday\, June 5\, 2026. A confirmation email will be sent from PDNetworks to the first 35 registrants. Additional opportunities to take this course will be offered throughout the school year.
