We will explore essential foundations and practical tools anchored in the latest brain science research\, trauma and attachment theory\, and social emotional learning practices.<br/><br/>Woven throughout the workshop we will explore the impact of power and inequities and ways to move towards more anti-racist practices for our youngest learners.<br/><br/>We will explore how to:<br/><br/>Understand behavior as communication so we can support young children building socially helpful ways to communicate.<br/>Strengthen our own self-regulation and co-regulation skills to create safe classroom environments.<br/>Apply a trauma-responsive and equity-focused lens so that we can better support our early learners.<br/>Build children&rsquo\;s capacity for independence and agency and lay foundations to build compassion and empathy.<br/><br/>Gain new ideas to help early learners:<br/>Regulate their bodies and brains | Build emotional and feelings vocabulary | Connect with peers and caregivers | Begin to problem solve independently | Grow age-appropriate communication skills<br/><br/><br/>5/29- 6-8pm\, 5465 S.
