DESCRIPTION:https://soesd.zoom.us/j/93954610858?from=addon\n\nEvent Description:\n\nJoin Oregon’s virtual Middle School Math PLCs. During our time together\, we will dig deeper into the mathematical concepts embedded in the middle school state standards and achievement level descriptors. Our goals are to use data to focus our learning\, do and discuss math together as a mathematical community\, connect lessons in purchased curricular materials to state standards\, and practice purposeful decision making about what to keep\, supplement\, and discard from instructional materials. The group will meet the last Tuesday of the month for an hour. Each month there will be approximately 30 minutes of pre-work that will support the mathematical discussion\, which will center around identifying strategies to engage students in sense making\, justifying\, and generalizing about grade level core math ideas. This PLC is designed to be on-going and sequential. Educators will be working within their curricular materials.
