Rather\, it is&nbsp\;<strong>an approach to curriculum design&nbsp\;</strong>that can help address the challenge of meeting the needs of ALL students.<br/><br/>In this <strong>five week\, five module\, asynchronous online course\, conducted through Canvas (no ZOOM!)</strong>\, participants will<br/><br/><ul><br/><br/>	<li>Be introduced to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) educational framework</li><br/><br/>	<li>Gain an understanding of the basic principles of UDL\, how to implement a variety of UDL strategies\, how UDL complements and supports other educational and social initiatives\, and\, hopefully\, improve your own teaching practice to benefit a wide variety of diverse students.&nbsp\;</li><br/><br/>	<li>Understand Universal Design for Learning and how it benefits ALL students</li><br/><br/>	<li>Express the importance of considering your students&rsquo\; diverse needs when you are designing lessons</li><br/><br/>	<li>Understand how goal-based planning opens the door for choice and inclusion</li><br/><br/>	<li>Apply the UDL Guidelines to lesson design and instruction</li><br/><br/>	<li>Learn how the UDL framework and guidelines support and complement Equity\, Anti-racism\, Culturally Responsive Teaching and Differentiated Instruction</li><br/><br/></ul><br/><br/>The class is limited to 35 participants per cohort. Registration closes at 4 pm on Friday\, June 4\, 2021. A confirmation email will be sent from PDNetworks to the first 35 registrants.
