X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:Online Canvas Course     - <br/><br/>In this<strong> five week\, five module\, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom)</strong>\, participants will:<br/><br/><ul><br/><br/>	<li>Familiarize with the original and ongoing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) studies</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify types of ACEs</li><br/><br/>	<li>Understand the long-term\, significant impacts of ACEs on children and families</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify the impact ACEs can have on a student&#39\;s social\, emotional\, and academic development</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify strategies and resources for prevention of ACEs in children</li><br/><br/>	<li>Identify strategies for supporting children with ACEs in the school/classroom</li><br/><br/></ul><br/><br/>The class is limited to 35 participants per cohort. Registration closes at 2<span style="color:#000000">&nbsp\;pm on Friday\, September 29\, 2023</span>. A confirmation email will be sent from PDNetworks to the first 35 registrants. Additional opportunities to take this course will be offered throughout the school year.&nbsp\;You do not need to be a current Canvas user to participate.<br/><br/><strong>Note</strong>: This course qualifies for Southern Oregon University&rsquo\;s School Mental and Behavioral Health micro-credential.
