Please join us for our monthly Social Science Community Meet-Ups!
January - June 2024, ~3rd Wednesdays, 2:00-3:00pm on Zoom

Co-hosted and facilitated by Brad Parker (MESD's Social Science Specialist) and Uma Joshi-Garcia (MESD's Culturally Responsive Teaching & Restorative Practices Specialist).

  • Who: Open to all statewide district, building, ESD, and ODE educators, learners, and leaders! Please feel free to share this with others who may be interested.
  • What: This group will ground K-12 Social Science teaching and learning as a springboard to cultivating more equitable, transformational school cultures, climates, and culturally responsive practices.
    • ​This will include specific work within/across Integrated Ethnic Studies, Tribal History/Shared History, Holocaust & Genocide education, and Civics education.
  • How: Virtual monthly meet-ups will feature community connections, collaborative sharing, guest speakers/facilitators, and large and small group planning.
