A brief introduction to the field of Behavioral Safety Assessment and an overview of the school-based Level 1 Assessment process.

Training components:
  • The role of BSA in school prevention and response systems
  • Key “lenses” for assessing threat situations
  • Warning signs, indicators and risk factors
  • Overview of the Level 1 Assessment and the Level 2 Team processes
  • Small group practice scenarios

  • Building/district administrators
  • School counselors
  • School psychologists
  • School social workers
  • School Resource Officers/ law enforcement partners
  • School-based partner agencies
  • BSA Level 2 Team members
