Join a group of educators seeking to learn or refine "ambitious math teaching practices." If you have never attended a Teachers Development Group Ambitious Teaching seminar, then this workshop is for you. Teachers Development Group specializes in helping teachers practice and put into the classroom, habits of learning and habits of mind that prepare and mold a student to be a learner of math and a problem solver and contributor and engager of math. During the series, you will be planning for and incorporating rough draft thinking and meaningful discourse into practice. This will increase your ability to engage all students in the act of developing deeper conceptual understanding of core math ideas, sense making and articulating generalizations, and justifications about core math ideas. By participating, you will become an advocate for every student becoming a "doer of math." The ambitious teaching practices ensure that every student has voice and the ability to engage with the math as a community. All K-2 teachers are encouraged to apply--especially those teachers with students who are multi-language learners, students with disabilities, students who live in rural communities and students identified as TAG.
