BVIS Tech Time is a time for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (and others) from across the state to connect, collaborate, and discuss all things tech. We start each meeting by discussing whatever is top of mind for attendees. After our open-discussion, there is a brief presentation on that month’s focus topic.
This month’s focus topic will be 3D Printing for TSVIs. Here at BVIS Tech and at regional programs across the state, we’ve been busy 3D printing learning materials for BVI students. In this session, we’ll discuss some of the things we’ve been printing and how TSVIs can request 3D printed materials for their students. We’ll learn where to find free 3D models for BVI students, and we’ll learn some simple techniques to help you start creating your own 3D models.
Accommodations: If you need any assistance or accommodations, please contact Michael Cantino (mcantino@nwresd.k12.or.us). Presentation materials will be shared in advance in an accessible digital format. Auto-captioning will be utilized during the meeting. CART transcription and/or ASL interpreters can be available upon request.
