Oregon TBI Educational Team
The Team is funded through the Oregon Department of Education’s regional programs for low-incidence disabilities. If you are an Oregon education professional who cares about students with TBI and concussion, please consider joining the TBI Team. By joining the Oregon TBI Team, you are gathering with a team of dedicated professionals who work together to improve the lives of children with brain injury.
Region 8 - TBI Team
Our local team comprises educational staff in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, or Washington counties in various roles: District Nurse, School Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Special Education Teacher, and more! The team is coordinated through the local TBI Liaison, Malory Turner. Currently, the team has four meetings scheduled per year with office hours available as needed for support. We understand there can be scheduling conflicts, so if you can't attend all meetings - that's okay, we'd still love to have you join!

October: In-Person (Hillsboro; lunch provided)
December: Virtual
February: Virtual
April: Virtual
Member Requirements:
- Oregon education professional working in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, or Washington County.
- Permission from your supervisor to join
- New members will be asked to complete a new member training hosted by CBIRT on Friday, October 18, 2024
(If you miss the training or join later, a recording will be made available)
- All team members must complete at least 5 hours of TBI training each year (In-person, virtual, recordings, readings)
- Team members are asked to submit data:
Data gives us the information we need to accurately identify students with TBI and advocate for the allocation of resources.

Team Regional Contact Information
The TBI Team helps guide schools by providing training and support for educators working with students who have TBI. Each region in Oregon has a TBI liaison or contact person. To access the support of the TBI Team contact the liaison for your region.
