SOREN - Understanding ACEs - Presented by Klamath Promise

Event Details

Understanding ACEs is a program designed to engage in efforts to implement trauma-informed practices and increase resilience in children, families and communities.  This project is made up of community partners through 4 Southern Oregon Community Organizations that cover 7 counties in Southern Oregon, known as the Southern Oregon Family Resilience Project.

ACEs is Adverse Childhood Experiences. Based on a landmark population study that showed that adversity and trauma in childhood can have lifetime impacts on health outcomes, mental health outcomes and social outcomes, the initiatives have developed effective cross-sector collaborations to foster resilience for families and their communities.
