Rooted Relationships for School Leaders: Imagine a school filled with teachers and students who feel connected and encouraged. A school where young people and teachers collaboratively engage in learning, problem-solving, and help build their own communities, together.
Rooted Relationships is a two-day,15-hour series, which brings together the most helpful, practical tools from the latest brain science research, culturally responsive teaching, trauma-informed practices, and restorative discipline. This two-day training has already positively impacted thousands of educators and staff in the region, and is now being offered with a leadership lens, in community with other district office admin, principals, counselors, deans, grade level team leads, PLC leaders, mentors, and instructional coaches. This is a once annual invitation, and we want you to be a part of it.
Join us to learn how to lead:
- A trauma-responsive lens to classroom challenges
- Teacher, student, and staff self-regulation and co-regulation skills
- Understanding of behavior as communication and how to respond to challenging behavior
- Problem-solving class meetings
- The building and sustainability of equitable learning communities where everyone knows they belong and they matter
- The implementation of tools that will make an immediate difference in your classroom and school.
