Event Description
During this full-day training, STEAM Integration Specialists from the Southern Oregon STE(A)M Hub, will utilize equipment from the high-tech lending library to model standards-based STEM lessons. During this hands-on workshop, educators will experience learning as students and have time to discuss their experience with fellow teachers. Additionally, educators will have the opportunity to do some lesson planning, check out lending library equipment, and schedule follow-up support.
9:00 am-4:00 pm
Full-day training includes:
Four, 75-90 minute hands-on, multi-disciplinary lessons using equipment from the high-tech lending library. Facilitators will model and guide educators through these hands-on experiences and equip the participants with resources and sample lesson plans ready to implement in their classrooms.

Time to debrief and collaborate with colleagues
Lunch
Follow-up support can be tailored to meet the needs of individual or groups of teachers. Common requests include: utilizing robotics to teach NGSS and CCSS; teaching scientific inquiry in the STEM classroom; integrating science standards and engineering projects; computer science and computational thinking; and data integration.
