Who Should Attend:
● Individuals who are conducting sex discrimination or sex-based harassment investigations, or who are making decisions, hearing appeals, or otherwise involved in Title IX grievance processes.
● Individuals who have the authority to create, modify, or terminate supportive measures
● Title IX Coordinators and designees/deputy Title IX Coordinators
Description:
This training covers the new response and investigation requirements of the 2024 regulations, effective August 1, 2024. Topics include:
● Definitions of sex discrimination and sex-based harassment, including scope of conduct covered by those definitions
● What constitutes notice of sex discrimination, and how schools must respond when notified of sex discrimination, including the provision of supportive measures
● The required grievance process under § 106.45, and how to conduct grievance procedures impartially including avoiding conflict of interest and bia
