Event Description:
In this ASIST workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. We highly recommend having two people per school building trained in ASIST.
Event Objectives:
Skills to recognize and support a person with thoughts of suicide
The ability to conduct a safety assessment and develop a safety plan
Opportunities to learn from other participants and practice your intervention skills at your own comfort level
Training workbook, learning aids, and localized resources
Agenda:

Who Should Attend:
Administrators, School Counselors, School Social Workers, School Psychologists, Behavioral Support Specialists, TOSA’s, and other Mental Health Support Staff. Any school staff tasked with assessing risk of suicide in their school district and/or building.
