School Safety Summit
The WESD School Safety & Mental Health Team Welcomes you to the 2025 School Safety Summit: Building a Culture of Safety in our Schools.
This event will push us all to examine a range of topics that contribute to a safer K-12 setting.
The school safety team is part of the School Improvement Services Department at WESD and strives to meet the needs of public schools in Marion, Polk & Yamhill Counties.

Event Objectives:
To explore the interdependence of physical and emotional safety, and its impact on learning.
To provide content that will help districts maintain safety while managing liability.
To bring a variety of school staff and community partners together to network and learn from each other.

Who Should Attend:
Any school staff or community partner that is responsible for school safety in the K-12 setting. Examples may include: Administrators, School Counselors, School Social Workers, School Psychologists, Behavioral Support Specialists, TOSA’s, School Safety Manager/Coordinators, School Resource Officers, Nurses, Custodial and Transportation staff, etc.
