Event Description
Mentor forums support mentors’ content knowledge and skill set around supporting new teachers. Through forums, mentors may engage in the following topics:
● Analyze teacher observation and student formative assessment data (including student work) to monitor teacher progress and determine next instructional steps using the curriculum as a tool
● Practice delivering specific and actionable teacher feedback
● Engage in peer coaching where mentors co-observe a teacher, calibrate on their observations and instructional next steps
● Support professional growth as an instructional leader by participating in a continuous improvement cycle of goal-setting and reflection
