CPR, AED, and First Aid Training

Class Description--
 
A comprehensive Pediatric and Adult CPR, AED and First Aid class involving instruction as well as hands-on practice.  The class teaches students how to respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. 


The class covers a range of topics, including:
  • CPR techniques: How to perform chest compressions and rescue breaths on adults, children, and infants 
     
     
  • AED use: How to safely operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) 
     
     
  • Chain of survival: The steps to take to improve the chances of survival from cardiac arrest 
     
     
  • Legal considerations: Good Samaritan laws and liability protections for those providing CPR assistance 
     
     
  • First aid: How to care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, and injuries to the head, neck, and back 
     
     
  • Cardiac arrest recognition: How to recognize the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest and when to initiate CPR
