Event Description
Start the New Year off with a dive into diversity and learn ways to make your programs a welcoming place for children and families of all cultures and races!

This is a 4 class cohort, participants must register for, pay, and attend all classes to receive ORO credit. Classes are: 
 

• 1/7/24 Diverse Classroom Culture: Developing Cultural Competence & Diverse Lesson Plans and Activities (85353) (Set 1, DIV) 
• 1/14/24 Color Brave vs Color Blind (85435) (Set 1, DIV) (85435)
• 1/21 Please Don't Touch my Hair: A Communities Cultural Response to Ethnic Hair in Early Learning and Classroom Settings (85436) (Set 1, PM) (85436)
• 1/28 Why We Don't Suspend: Policies and Procedures for Anti-Suspension and Expulsion. (85437) (Set 1, PM) (85437)

Prerequisites:
Terms: All participants must pay with a credit card or with a scholarship code issued by Clackamas CCR&R and must register for zoom classes in advance, the zoom link will be included in the class confirmation email. Classes canceled less than 2 business days in advance of the training date are not eligible for a refund. Please call 503 675-4100 or email ccrr@clacked.org to request a refund; refunds are not automatic. Hours will only be issued to participants who arrive no later than 15 minutes after the class begins, hours will be automatically uploaded to ORO by Clackamas CCR&R. Certificates will be emailed within a week of the class. Participants can only take one live online class at a time.
