Teachers will learn to use the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol or SIOP Model, a planning and teaching framework that consists of eight components and thirty features to help teachers integrate best teaching practices in their daily instruction.
This professional learning will address developmentally and linguistically appropriate strategies and materials that effectively support and promote the academic achievement of all students, with particular attention to those for whom English is an additional language.
Participants will review the entire SIOP Model, and go deeper into vocabulary instruction and practice, writing meaningful objectives and structured oral language routines.
Deadline for registration: 12/01/2025
