Sandra Gonzalez-Mora, M.Ed., award-winning author and publisher, was born in Mexico City. She immigrated with her family to Los Angeles when she was 4 years old. Her expertise in children’s books comes from her 23-year career in early childhood education where she used picture books to help parents and preschool teachers prepare young children to succeed in kindergarten.
Sandra is an active advocate of culture, language and family literacy. What began as a graduate school research project evolved to her writing bilingual children's books with her son and daughter. As co-founder of Skillful & Soulful Press with her husband, Reynaldo Mora, their first book,
Mommy, Tell Me Why I Am Radiant / Mami, ¿dime por qué soy radiante? received two International Latino Book Awards and was recently highlighted in an ODE webinar.
