webPD Universal Design for Learning 301 - SMBH - Term iii 2024/25

Event Details

In this five week, five module, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom), participants will delve more deeply into Universal Design for Learning implementation. Be prepared to try out UDL strategies from each module and reflect back during the discussion posts. In this course, we want to support you in moving from theory to implementation of UDL in your classroom. We will support you in figuring out how to get started, or, if you have already begun, adding more strategies to your repertoire and becoming a full UDL practitioner.

Learning Goals
  • Review using standards to determine learning goals and identify possible barriers to learning.
  • Explore, collect, and revise strategies to include flexible materials, methods, and assessments based on meeting a firm goal.
  • Explore, collect, and revise strategies for providing Multiple Means of Engagement, Representation, and Action and Expression.
  • Implement strategies and share a reflection on implementation.
  • Develop your own UDL implementation plan.
Registration closes at 12 pm on Friday, January 31st, 2025. Everyone who registered in PDNetworks, and made it into the course, will receive an email that includes the Canvas enrollment link and instructions for enrolling in the Canvas webPD course from an SOESD administrative assistant the Thursday before the course begins.
