Goal: To provide district and school attendance teams a professional community of practice to learn about the latest research and strategies and best practices to build capacity to reduce chronic absenteeism. Session 2 will include strengthening tier 1 and tier 2 supports as well as time to network with teams from around the region

Benefit: School leaders will have the opportunity to leverage Attendance Works’ tools and research as a platform to strengthen district and school teams to address chronic absenteeism also:

• Learn about national and local strategies and best schoolwide practices 
• Align resources and integrate efforts across academics, family engagement and attendance 
• Understand how to use data effectively to promote positive problem-solving approaches to engage students and families
• Address barriers that impede attendance/participation and inform local and state attendance policy and practice
