The Science of Writing 3-Part Series A
Our Northwest Regional Education Service District Early Literacy Supports Team presents a learning opportunity for individuals and school teams from Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, or Washington counties on the Science of Writing. This is a three-part series of professional development offered in the 2025-2026 school year which will focus on both foundational writing skills and the composition skills students need in order to meet grade-level writing standards. Participants will receive a writing professional learning text as part of the series. The three meeting dates of the series are spaced throughout the school year in order for participants to learn practical strategies during the sessions and apply them with students between the sessions.
The intended audience for this series of trainings includes all instructors in Pre-K through 6th grade settings, literacy coaches and specialists, school instructional leadership team members, and school administrators. We request that participants attend all three parts of the series. This event is "The Science of Writing Series A." This series will contain the exact same information as the Science of Writing Series B, however, it will be held on different dates. Please double check that you are registered for the series that works best with your schedule.
