Provider Appreciation Celebration
 
May 9, 2025 will be declared Provider Appreciation Day in Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties by the Board of County Commissioners in each county. Child Care professionals are suitably celebrated side by side with Teacher Appreciation Day and Mothers Day. 
 
NW Regional Child Care Resource and Referral invites all early child care and education professionals to be celebrated at our Provider Appreciation events.  ALL professionals;  licensed, exempt and program staff are invited to attend on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Professionals attending will receive training, lunch, books and door prizes.

Celebración de agradecimiento a los proveedores
 
El 9 de mayo de 2025 será declarado Día de Agradecimiento a los Proveedores en los condados de Clatsop, Columbia y Tillamook por la Junta de Comisionados de cada condado. Se celebrarán a los profesionales de cuidado infantil adecuadamente junto con el Día de Agradecimiento a los Profesores y el Día de la Madre. 
 
Recursos y Referencias para Cuidado Infantil de la Región del Noroeste invita a todos los profesionales del cuidado y la educación infantil a celebrar en nuestros eventos de agradecimiento a los proveedores.  TODOS los profesionales; se invita al personal autorizado, exento y del programa a asistir el sábado 17 de mayo de 2025. Los profesionales que asistan recibirán capacitación, almuerzo, libros y premios

Training: The Science of Reading for Early Childhood Educators/ La Ciencia De La Lectura para Educadores de la Primera Infancia
Description: 
This professional development session defines the Science of Reading research, and prepares early childhood educators to make connections between how the human brain learns to read and the implications for their daily interactions with the children in their setting. During the professional development session, educators will utilize their knowledge of the progression of language and literacy skills in the areas of phonological awareness, background knowledge, vocabulary, and literacy concepts by planning interactive read aloud activities to use with the children in their setting.

Telling our Stories: Embedding Representation at the Intersection of Anti-Bias Practice and Early Literacy
Description: 
Explore your childhood experiences with literacy, how do those experiences inform your work supporting children’s early literacy today? Through facilitated dialogue, collaborative reflection, identity work, & action planning dive deeper into how early literacy is so much more than just learning to read. Workshop is rooted in Anti-Bias practice & strategies - leave with tools to implement in your context
