Emergency Management Planning Workshop
Instructors: Guest presenters from Oregon Department of Education, WESD, and other emergency management and planning professionals.
Event Description: This event will feature two keynotes: The first will focus on Communications, discussing the significance of having a communications plan and effective real-time communication. The second will be Robert Quinn, Exercise Officer for the Oregon Department of Emergency Management. Robert Quinn, will present on exercise planning, development & implementation. Attendees will be able to participate in topic specific work groups including: Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) development, Recovery Post-Event and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP), ReUnification Plan Development and Standard Response Protocol (SRP) Lockdown drills.

Who Should Attend: District safety managers, superintendents, building and district administration and anyone in the WESD region who is responsible for developing and updating emergency preparedness plans and executing drills for their school district or ESD.
What Should Attendees Bring: Please bring drafts or working documents of your district plans related to emergency management. There will be opportunities to get feedback from subject matter experts throughout the day. Bring items such as laptops or ipads to engage in real-time plan revision and/or development.
