Are you passionate about supporting students with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and concussions? Join our region's TBI team (Region 8) and be part of a collaborative network making a real impact. 


Who should join?

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Physical Therapists
  • Special Education Teachers
  • Early Childhood Staff
  • Other Education Professionals employed by an Oregon School District

      Ely Sanders & Georgeann Harty, Oregon Department of Education 
    • TBI resource kits handed out!
  • Dec 11, 2025 | 1:00–2:30 pm | Virtual
  • Feb 12, 2026 | 1:00–2:30 pm | Virtual (Guest: Oregon DHS Brain Injury Program)
  • Apr 9, 2026 | 1:00–2:30 pm | Virtual
     

What are the requirements? 

  • Employed by a School District in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, or Washington County
  • Supervisor approval required
  • Complete 5 hours of TBI-related training yearly
Your level of involvement is up to you—we welcome everyone, even if you can’t make every meeting.

Team Regional Contact Information

The TBI Team helps guide schools by providing training and support for educators working with students who have TBI. Each region in Oregon has a TBI liaison or contact person. To access the support of the TBI Team, contact the liaison for your region.
