Blind Visually Impaired Student (BVIS) Fund Tech Time

Event Details

Event Description

BVIS Tech Time is a time for TVIs (and others) from across the state to connect, collaborate, and discuss all things tech. We start each meeting by discussing whatever is top of mind for attendees. After our open discussion, there is a brief presentation on that month’s focus topic. We cover various topics on the use of Assistive Technology for blind and visually impaired students.

This month’s focus topic will be Low Vision Computer Setups. Setting up a computer for low vision access doesn’t end with turning on a magnifier. There are lots of settings that you can tweak to make things bigger, bolder, and easier to work with. We’ll look at how to adjust these settings on Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks so you can customize displays for your students and provide greater ease of access.
