New to writing IEPs or looking for a refresher on the fundamentals?
Join us for this introductory training designed to guide you through the essential components of the IEP process. We’ll cover everything from Child Find and referral to eligibility, IEP team roles, and how to lead effective and collaborative meetings. The session also includes a deeper dive into procedural notifications, including Procedural Safeguards, Notices of Team Meetings, Written Agreements, and Prior Written Notices. You'll leave with practical tools, helpful resources, and a clearer understanding of the timelines, responsibilities, and documentation requirements that support compliant and student-centered IEPs. This session will not be recorded.

Instructors:
Malory Turner serves as the Special Education Professional Learning Coach, Traumatic Brain Injury Liaison, and Regional Technical Assistance Provider at NWRESD. She collaborates with educators, specialists, and district leaders to provide high-quality professional learning and technical assistance focused on special education processes and IEP development. Malory was recognized with the Noel Connall Instruction and Professional Development Award from the Oregon Education Association for her instrumental role in developing and delivering exceptional special education training and resources. She holds a Master’s in Special Education from Pacific University and brings nearly a decade of experience as an inclusion assistant, special educator, and mentor teacher supporting students with disabilities across a range of settings.
