Event Details

Social Communication Assessment (SCA)

Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) across the region have identified the need for more information on the Social Communication Assessment (SCA) process, time for collaboration with colleagues to review it, assessment tools and resources, case study reviews for examples of observations & implementation, as well as differentiated support across K-12 levels.

The SCA professional development session is targeted for SLPs who already have some experience engaging in the SCA process, and would like an update to support the following aspects of current practices:

  • Culturally inclusive practices and terminology
  • Review of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluation criteria & requirements
  • Considerations for report writing
  • Tools and resources to assist with the SCA

Additional information and an updated agenda will be shared closer to the date of the event.
