Novice Educator CoP

Event Description
 
This is a monthly Community of Practice designed to provide support for novice educators at all grade levels in their first two years of teaching. We will offer professional learning , share high leverage instructional strategies and provide time for intentional collaboration and support! Topics will include: establishing systems and routines, classroom management, whole class engagement strategies, supporting students on IEPs, effective communication to stakeholders and stress management.

ALL applicants will initially be put on a waitlist. Sign up by October 10, 2025 . You can expect to hear if you have been offered a spot or waitlisted by October 13, 2025.

Event Objectives

To provide a community of support, resources and shared learning around topics that are foundational to creating effective, culturally responsive classrooms where all students can thrive. We want to equip and empower educators during those first few years of teaching which can feel overwhelming.
 
Who Should Attend
Novice educators within our region who are in their first two years of teaching.

Compensation 
$400 Split twice a year, two payments of 200, 75%  ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR FULL COMPENSATION. (Note: to receive compensation, you must belong to one of the SC2V REN's 31 school districts.)https://www.wesd.org/educator-services/ren/faq#fs-panel-8602
