Educator Externships 2025
Event Description
The 4-day Educator Externship in Construction gives teachers a hands-on look at what it’s really like to work in the construction field. From visiting job sites to talking with professionals like project managers, electricians, and equipment operators, educators will see how subjects like math, science, and communication show up in real-world projects. It’s a great way to build stronger connections between schools and local industry, while also helping teachers bring back fresh, career-focused ideas to the classroom. Along the way, they’ll explore how construction connects to other fields like architecture, design, and business—opening up new ways to show students how classroom learning leads to future careers.
