Progress Monitoring: Reading

Participants will gain knowledge in:

  • Define progress monitoring and describe its role within a data-based instructional model.

  • Be able to select appropriate reading progress monitoring measures aligned to specific student needs within the IEP.

  • Set measurable, data-driven reading goals based upon baseline data and expected growth rates. 

  • Analyze progress monitoring data to determine a student’s response to intervention.

  • Determine how to modify reading instruction based on student progress monitoring data.
