Welcome to MESD's Self-Paced On-Demand Modules for the Science of Writing: Transcription and Spelling.
The content for this module was curated from MESD's 25-26 SY in-person professional learning series on the Science of Writing. Completing this module will take approximately 3-hours, but you have control to work through the content at a pace that is convenient for you.
A brief quiz and reflection at the end of the module provides an opportunity to reflect on your learning and, upon submission, will deliver a completion certificate for 3 Professional Development Units (3 PDUs) to your PDNetworks account.
This Self-Paced On Demand offerring is currently open until June 30, 2026 at which point the module quiz and feedback form will close. If you are not done with the course on June 30th, 2026, the course will repost on July 1st, 2026 with a new quiz and feedback form to be used in PDNetworks for the 26-27 SY. Simply, re-register for the course and you will have access to the most up-to-date coursework.
Content from this module may be used for professional development within your district or building as long as appropriate citations remain intact. No sale or exchange of money should occur with these modules, as they are intended to distribute writing research into educational practice.
