Learning Spark Series: Supporting Students with Special Needs

Event Description

The Learning Spark series is back! This spring will focus on "Supporting Students with Special Needs" as requested by popular demand.

Each session is 90 minutes and will be facilitated by Kevin Carroll from the WESD. Educators will have an opportunity to connect, learn, and share their learning as well.

Session :Reading and Understanding IEPs and 504s (and strategies to support students)
Session: Supporting students with ADHD
Session: Supporting students with ASD
Session: Supporting students with Emotional/Behavioral special needs

Event Objectives

Build skills and develop tools for supporting students with special needs in the gen-ed classroom.

Who Should Attend
Any educators; Licensed, classified, Early Learning, who support students with special needs.

Compensation
$100 AT LEAST 85 % ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR COMPENSATION. (Note: to receive compensation, you must belong to one of the SC2V REN's 31 school districts.)https://www.wesd.org/educator-services/ren/faq#fs-panel-8602
