Event Description
Disability Visibility, edited by Alice Wong, is an anthology of essays, poems, and writings by disabled authors. It centers disability justice, sharing firsthand stories on intersectionality, healthcare, online communities, and rights advocacy. The collection aims to increase visibility and challenge societal misconceptions about disability.

Event Objectives
During our sessions, we will review selected essays from this collection and engage in group
discussions about the readings.
Participants will work collaboratively to develop a shared understanding and establish a common language and approach to disability, in general, but specifically when working with students and parents.
CONTENT ADVISORY: This volume includes accounts of traumatic experiences such as sexual assault, neglect, and abuse.

$150, this includes the $50 book AT LEAST 85 % ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR COMPENSATION. (
