webPD Awareness to Action (ACEs/TIP 301) - Term IV 2025/26

Event Description

In this five week, five module, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom), participants
  • Review content from ACEs 101 and ACEs 201 and TIPs 101 and 201 to solidify concepts as a foundation for further learning.
  • Understand appropriate communication strategies and techniques for prevention using trauma-informed practices.
  • Practice and gain confidence in employing positive and appropriate communication strategies through interactive role-plays with virtual students and caregivers.
  • Practice and gain confidence using the information provided in this course by applying it to a current challenging student relationships or other teaching challenges related to ACEs and implementing Trauma Informed Practices in the classroom.
  • Learn strategies and gain resources for preventing re-traumatization and for creating and sustaining trauma informed classrooms/schools
Registration closes at 12 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026. Everyone who registered in PDNetworks, and made it into the course, will receive an email that includes the Canvas enrollment link and instructions for enrolling in the Canvas webPD course from an SOESD administrative assistant before the course begins.
