Event Description

In this five week, five module, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom), participants will:
  • Review and identify definitions, understandings, and information about basic equity concepts (racism, biases, micro aggressions).
  • Understand the federal and state requirements of school districts in providing equitable educational opportunities for all students.
  • Identify and recognize supportive efforts rooted in equity to support the Oregon Department of Education’s commitment to ensuring all students receive equal opportunities in education.
  • Review and expand historical, sociological, and cultural information to increase equity understanding and implementation.
Registration closes at 12 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026. Everyone who registered in PDNetworks, and made it into the course, will receive an email that includes the Canvas enrollment link and instructions for enrolling in the Canvas webPD course from an SOESD administrative assistant before the course begins.
