Event Description

Session Summary

Para-bytes is a new online professional learning resource available to paraeducators and school staff in Multnomah County.

This resource received strong positive feedback from local paraeducators and classified staff last year, which led to continued funding and expanded access.

Developed by Inclusive Schooling, this virtual curriculum includes focused, easy-to-access modules in four key areas: Behavior, Academics, Foundational Practices, and Independence, Interdependence, and Belonging. Each module is divided into short “bytes” with videos under 15 minutes, plus downloadable slides, handouts, and tools.

In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to log in and navigate the platform, go through a sample lesson together, and explore some of the most helpful and relevant resources identified by paraeducators using the platform.

Para-bytes is a ready-to-use resource that staff can bring back to their schools—perfect for independent learning during PD time or as ongoing support throughout the year.
