Event Description

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a counseling technique aimed to assist people through changes of habit and/or behaviors. During this 75 minute virtual session we will give a brief overview of MI techniques, pedagogy, and theories to better support students who are chronically absent. This session is specifically designed for educators and support staff leading attendance initiatives at school sites and open for school districts located in Columbia, Clatsop, Tillamook, and Washington counties.
