Event Details

Event Description

How does natural selection change populations? In this workshop, participants will develop and refine models using HHMI BioInteractive resources, including the rock pocket mouse and The Biology of Skin Color. Explore strategies for making student thinking visible, guiding model revision, and connecting genetic changes to population-level patterns. Build practical tools that strengthen modeling and scientific reasoning in your classroom. Join us for an engaging day of professional learning and connection!

This workshop is for teachers who teach any level of high school biology and environmental    science, including introductory and advanced (AP/IB) courses.

*A version of this workshop was also offered via Willamette ESD in 2025.
