Be Sensitive, Be Brave Community Trainings

This Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Suicide Prevention workshop is offered to our region through a partnership between Northwest Regional Education Service district and Washington County Behavioral Health Division. 
 

The Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Mental Health (BSBB for MH) training infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop on mental health and mental health conditions. This free workshop teaches community members or professionals in any role to recognize mental health conditions and help during times of mental health distress.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify when you or others are in mental distress
  • Be sensitive and brave in helping others
  • Increase awareness of mental health resources
  • Prevent mental health conditions by using a recipe for mental wellness
  • Build cultural sensitivity around mental health conditions
  • Increase community responsiveness and decrease stigma
No mental health background is required to participate; this training is open to anyone who wants to learn how to support others effectively and sensitively.
