Food Innovation Center (FIC) is a valuable resource for the food and beverage industry

Located in the heart of Portland the FIC is a joint collaboration between Oregon State University and the Oregon Department of Agriculture. 

The FIC is internationally known for helping to pioneer new products that create economic opportunities. They also advance our understanding of consumer reactions of food and help keep our food safe. The first urban agricultural experiment station in the country, the FIC’s state-of-the-art facilities are housed within a 33,000 sq ft building located in downtown Portland’s Pearl district. 

To support local, regional and national businesses the station has the below amenities:

  • Modern sensory lab
  • Research kitchen
  • Innovation lab
  • Focus group room with private viewing and streaming
  • Customizable processing incubator
  • Analytical biosafety labs
  • Large classroom to host events, trainings and workshops
